Settlements

When the plaintiffs and defendants in class action lawsuits concerning prescription drugs reach a settlement to resolve the case without going to trial, the defendants usually agree to pay a certain sum of money to reimburse consumers and health plans that were part of the nationwide class in that case. Consumers and health plans who paid for the drug are then eligible to fill out forms to receive a payment from that settlement, if they meet certain criteria and file their forms by a certain date.

Below is a list of prescription drug class action settlements that consumers and/or health plans ("third party payors," which includes insurance companies, labor union benefit funds, self-insured employers and others) may be eligible to receive payments from.  Each of these settlements has a website providing all the necessary details.
